One of the 10 construction workers who fell from a building in Philippine' financial district Thursday was resuscitated, a top local government official said.

Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, Jr. told reporters that the worker was revived at the Makati Hospital in Central Philippines, cutting the accident's death toll to nine.

A still undetermined number of victims meanwhile are feared to be seriously injured.

Reports said the accident occurred late Thursday morning after a scaffolding the construction workers were working on gave way.

Police however are still trying to determine whether the workers fell from the 33rd or the 34th floor of the 40-storey Eton Residences in Makati City in Central Philippines, but said a safety net on the sixth or seventh floor of the building prevented the victims from touching the ground.

The victims are currently being treated at Makati Hospital.
