China and Japan will hold their 12th strategic dialogue later this week, the Foreign Ministry announced in Beijing on Wednesday.

Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun and his Japanese counterpart Sasae Kenichiro will lead delegations for the dialogue slated for Dec. 2 in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said at a press briefing.

The two sides will exchange views on bilateral ties and international and regional issues of common concern, Hong said.
