UN chief to visit China

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will pay an official visit to China from July 17 to July 19 at the invitation of the Chinese government, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said Friday in Beijing.

Ban will also attend the opening ceremony of the Fifth Ministerial Meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) to be held from July 19 to July 20 in Beijing, Liu said.
