China will continue its efforts in searching for the missing flight MH370, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday.

In response to a media question about when China will end its search for the plane, spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press briefing that China will continue working with all parties concerned including Malaysia and Australia to actively cooperate in the search

He also briefed the media on Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Hamzah Zainuddin's recent visit to China, saying that Zainuddin discussed a variety of issues with the Chinese side, including the search, appeasing the passengers' families and some follow-up work.

The spokesman said he had noticed the Malaysian government's recent move on establishing an international investigation team to evaluate, investigate and determine the actual cause for the plane's disappearance.

China and Malaysia have maintained close communication and cooperation since the accident and China will assist Malaysia in running the search operations, Qin said, noting that China will participate in the investigation in accordance with international conventions.
