Inmarsat 'raw data' on MH370 released

British satellite firm Inmarsat on Tuesday released "raw data" used to determine the path of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on the official website of Malaysia's Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).

The DCA said in a press statement that Inmarsat and the DCA had been working for the release of the data communication logs and the technical description of the analysis after the acting transport minister's earlier instruction.

According to the statement, the attached data logs along with additional notes for the missing flight was prepared by Inmarsat.

There was a set of notes and accompanying tables in the released materials, which was said to be intended to offer a readable summary of the data communication logs from the Inmarsat satellite system provided to the authorities in connection with the ongoing investigation and search and rescue activities relating to MH370.

There were also some instructions for the readers to understand the given material.
