The Egyptian government has decided to recall its ambassador to Syria, state media reported on Sunday.

The decision was made by the Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr after a talk with the ambassador to Syria on Sunday, official news agency MENA reported.

The Arab League has reached a resolution last Sunday saying that the pan-Arab body had decided to tighten the economic sanction on Syria, calling on Arab countries to stop all diplomatic cooperation with those who represent the regime of Syria.
