Annual Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) is scheduled to hold a special screening of the works by a new generation of directors in Taiwan.

A total of six films will be shown as a part of the festival's Winds of Asia Middle-East section, organizers told Xinhua on Thursday.

They include Mong-Hong Chung's "The Fourth Portrait," a film on domestic violence, and "Let the Wind Carry Me", which traces the life of the internationally acclaimed cinematographer Mark Lee and was jointly directed by Kwan Pun-leung and Chiang Hsiu-chiung Mark Lee.

The event will also screen an array of selected movies starring legendary Kung Fu movie icon Bruce Lee to commemorate the 70th anniversary of his birth.

Four films had been selected for the festival's Competition section, including "And Peace on Earth," an Italian film jointly directed by Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini, and "The Piano in a Factory" by Chinese director Zhang Meng.

The 23rd TIFF will be held from Oct. 23-31, 2010 at Roppongi Hills and other venues in Tokyo.
