"Bloom with love" is listed as one of the 10 things that may heal the pain of life in Zhang's lexicon. Other remedies include vitamins, brightness and a comfortable kitchen.

Zhang, born in Zhejiang province in 1967, lives and works in Beijing, as a member of the Chinese Artists' Association. She has obtained a master's degree in Chinese painting at China Central Academy of Fine Arts where she currently teaches.

"Blooming Season and Solace of Art is an exhibition in which Zhang presents us the blossoms with love," Zeng says. "The works inspire us to search for the delightful moments and brightness. For me, these beautiful and warm moments of life are actually therapies."

"The heart is like a box from which I can take out one blossom after another when I paint," Zhang says.
