Huang Haibo 'sorry' for sex scandal

Popular actor Huang Haibo, known for his clean image as "China's son-in-law," makes an online apology for being caught with a prostitute in a Beijing hotel last month.

An apology was posted on Huang's Sina Weibo account by his agent on Sunday.In the apology,he admitted his misbehavior and sincerely apologized for his actions. 

 

In another case of a Chinese celebrity making an online mea culpa, renowned actor Huang Haibo posted an apology for a recent high-profile fling with a prostitute.

In the apology, which was posted from Huang's account by his agent on Sunday on the social media platform Sina Weibo, he admitted his misbehavior and sincerely apologized for his actions.

Huang, 39, was detained by police on May 16 after being caught with a prostitute in a Beijing hotel. The scandal sparked an immediate uproar with netizens on social media, receiving more than 350,000 comments by Monday afternoon.

The incident has also drawn a rare amount of online sympathy from China's generally caustic chattering class.

In fact, most comments on the scandal have been tolerate and rational. Many netizens posted that the act is totally understandable, just a minor mistake of a single man who should learn from his mistakes.
