Chinese broadcaster CCTV aired the footage of police searching Chan's home in Beijing.

He is seen with his face pixilated, showing officers where he stashed the drugs.

Ko was shown tearfully apologizing to his friends and family.

The actor kai Ko says, "I have made a mistake, and I worry about a lot of things. But I believe that my family and friends must worry much more than I do. My heart hurts a lot so I want to say sorry to them. I let them down and I am a bad influence on them. I am a bad influence on the youth in the society. I really want to say to them that this is wrong. I am really sad."

Police said both actors tested positive for marijuana and admitted using the drug.

Kai Ko's father arrived in Beijing after hearing the report and said his son had never taken drugs before.

Several celebrities in Beijing have been detained on drug charges recently, as part of the government compaign to wipe out illegal drugs.
