Wang Feng proposed to Zhang Ziyi on Saturday evening. The "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" actress cried and answered "yes I do," while a drone flew in with a diamond ring worth millions of dollars.

However, their love story has not been blessed by everyone. On Tuesday, a veteran Chinese tabloid reporter shared an online rumor and a post which was reportedly written by Zhang Ziyi's brother Zhang Zinan and was circulating in his personal Moments on the WeChat platform.

The rumor said there was a family drama after Wang's proposal, which surprised and offended certain family members. Zhang's brother and sister-in-law reportedly "smashed" wine bottles and glasses, and cursed Wang, then the two families "fought," some guests were "injured" from broken glasses, including singer Leehom Wang's wife. But the brother said in the WeChat post, that they didn't wreck Wang's proposal but said Wang is a selfish, hypocritical and profligate man who betrayed his own ex-wife and daughter and hid his fortune from them.

"What woman would want to marry such a man? And what kind of gentleman would make friends with such a man with such a low moral status," the post asked.

Zhang Ziyi and Wang Feng's management both denied there were any physical fights during the proposal. The guests, including Leehom Wang and writer Guo Jingming, also denied the rumors and said no one was hurt. But there was clearly a fight in the virtual world.

As the dubious posts spread across the Internet, Zhang Ziyi's anger burst on her own micro blog account: "When on earth will you stop smearing me!!! Haven't you got enough from me? You are hurting not only me but also others!"
