Plot details are being kept a secret for "Realm," as its script was written by "Predators" writer Alex Litvak. The story is based on an original idea from Lee, the co-creator of "Spider-Man," "Hulk," "Fantastic Four," "Iron Man," "Thor and the X-Men."

Li will star in the film and also produce alongside Gill Champion from Stan Lee Global Entertainment with Chairman Mark Gao, President JC Cheng, and Executive Vice-President Gregory Ouanhon of Fundamental Films, who will oversee production on behalf of their companies.

Mark Gao, Chairman of Fundamental Films said: "Stan Lee's imagination has brought the world some of its most iconic pop-culture characters. It gives us incredible pleasure and excitement to present his latest creation."

He added, this time they wanted to create a Chinese superhero who will be recognized by the whole world. "It will not only connect the Chinese film industry to Hollywood in the production phase, but can also bridge the concept of the 'superhero' between Chinese people and Westerners."
