'The Martian' crew meets Chinese scientists

During the previous night on Friday, "The Martian" crew, as well as producers Simon Kinberg, Michael Schaefer and screen writer Drew Goddard walked the red carpet at a grand premiere ceremony held in Beijing.
In a press conference to promote the film, Scott said they consulted with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on the film, and he believed many scientific details in the original novel are correct, with NASA in agreement.
Besides science and adventure, the director said the human elements attracted him to make the film, as a group of people in cooperation with the international community spare no efforts to save a life.
"I think everybody is touched by the theme," Damon echoed the director's sentiment at the press conference, "The movie is really about the value of human life, about whether the entire human race is willing to save one life and if they’re willing to make sacrifices for one another. The message is a really hopeful message."
As the original science fiction novel, by Andy Weir, was written in consideration of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), as they offer NASA a lifeline -- a classified booster rocket that can carry a payload to Mars -- to save the astronaut Watney in time. The scenes were also in the film plot. Chen Shu, playing as Zhu Tao, deputy chief scientist at CNSA, said saving a life doesn't need to demand a reason or the promise of payback.
