According to the report, about 25,900 enterprises were established in 2021, setting foot in the coffee industry, a year-on-year increase of 12.5 percent. As of August this year, there were 159,000 coffee-related companies in China. The number of domestic coffee brands has also risen in recent years.

"White-collar women aged 25 to 40 are the main force behind coffee consumption, and the proportion of consumption by those from Generation Z has increased by 2.3 percentage points to 8.6 percent of the overall consumers," Zhang said.
