Adjust font size:

The fifth A380, the world's biggest passenger jet, delivered by Airbus to Singapore Airlines(SIA) arrived here early Sunday morning, SIA said.

The plane will serve Singapore-London route except for the first week in August, when it will fly to Beijing to meet higher passenger traffic during the Olympic Games, the carrier said in a statement.

SIA, the world's first and only airline to operate the double-decker superjumbo, already has four A380s in flight, serving the Sydney, London and Tokyo routes.

SIA said it has firm orders for another 14 A380s and options to buy six more.
