Journalists from over 70 Chinese media companies were invited to visit Zhengdong New District on Oct. 19, to see this rapidly developing area since it began construction in 2003. All journalists participated in tours of the Central Business District (CBD), the constructed wetland park, Dragon Lake and Zhengzhou East Railway Station.
A modern district
As the heartland of Zhengdong New District, the CBD is composed of 60 high-rise buildings, covering an area of 3.45 square km. Three representative buildings are included here—the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, Henan Arts Center and the Zhengzhou Convention and Exhibition Hotel.
