China's think tanks boom in 2013

On Dec. 5, the "Southern Defense Think Tank" was established by Nanfang Media Group in Guangzhou, in order to build a "Chinese RAND." The think tank's first round of advisors include military figures and experts in national defense, international relations and diplomacy.

In December, the Fudan University Center for China Development Model Research was established. It is the first think tank in the world that has "China development model" in its name.
