Xu Jinglei, nicknamed Lao Xu (old Xu), is the cover girl of LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) magazine's December special edition.

Although not so famous outside China, Lao Xu is quite popular domestically as a multi-talented artist.

Speaking about her lifestyle during a recent interview with the magazine, Lao Xu said her real life was like a soap opera. She bluntly expressed how painful it would be to live artisticly.

Xu rose to fame as an actress. She later became a director, blogger, magazine editor and, most recently, a singer as well. Her Chinese language blog is very popular, having received more than 100 million hits this year.

The article praises Lao Xu for living life by her own rules and seldom caring about what other people may have to say. As she puts it, "You are the only director of your life."

Lao Xu wore a gray sweater from the latest Chanel autumn/winter collection during the interview. However, picky reporters still discovered an outfit clash as Xu was having on her the same styled sweater with the Bond's girl from the latest James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace".
