Armed Forces Donate a Large Sum to Inner Mongolia

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and the Chinese People’s Armed Police (PAP) donated 5.6 million yuan to snowstorm-devastated Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The PLA Beijing Military Area Command has sent more than 5,000 PLA and PAP officers and soldiers, over 20,000 militiamen, and over 1,200 vehicles to join the rescue effort.

So far, the armed forces have resettled over 6,000 local people and over 30,000 animals and transported more than 1,000 tons of relief goods.

The PLA General Political Department thanked the servicemen for their contribution to the relief work.
