Tibetan Culture Week Set for Melbourne and Auckland

A Tibetan culture week, sponsored by China International Cultural Exchange Association, will be staged in Australia's Melbourne and New Zealand's Auckland from November 20 to December 8. This is China's first all-round exposition to the world on Tibet, including natural environment, geography, history, culture, religion, art and life and so on.

The exhibition includes three parts, photo and Tangkas, telefilm and Tibetan performances. More than 600 photos out from 20,000 will give a full show of beautiful scenery, long history, tremendous social changes and rapid developing economy in Tibet. While the 60 Tangkas, all rare artistic works, are to reflect the religion, medicine and history of Tibetan people. A batch of films and documentaries will present the social changes and bright prospect of Tibet's modernization drive. Besides, 20 Tibetan actors and actresses will give performances and fashion show to present a real Tibet to audience of the two countries
