China Opposes Interference in Myanmar

The current domestic situation in Myanmar is the country's internal affair and China will not agree to foreign interference or to sanctions against Myanmar, a senior Chinese leader said on Tuesday.

State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan made the remark while meeting Maung Aye, vice-chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar.

Tang said China believes the Myanmar government is capable enough to handle the relevant issues itself.
