Dalian Port Exports Horses to ROK
Sixteen adult horses were shipped to the Republic of Korea (ROK) recently after careful quarantine at the Dalian port in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

It is claimed to be the first time for Dalian, the biggest port in northeast China, to export horses to the ROK.

Since late 2002, business people from the ROK started to buy adult horses from north China. The horses were mainly used for entertainment performances in the ROK.

The local Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Administration, in strict accordance with international practice and the animal quarantine requirements put forward by the ROK, assigned professionals to the original horse production places to carry out the quarantine.
