Fourteen bodies have been discovered from under collapsed houses caused by a landslide Saturday night in a village in north China's Shanxi Province.

The landslide, which occurred at around 10:00 p.m. Saturday, collapsed five houses of two households in Jingpo Village of Linfen City, burying 16 locals under the earth.

Investigation teams have rushed to the scene and rescue work is continuing to search for the remaining victims.

The cause of the landslide is under investigation.
