Traffic Accident Kills 6, Injures 22 in Guizhou

A major traffic accident killed six people and injured 22 others in Guiding County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, on Wednesday, according to local police.

Six of the injured are in serious condition, police said.

At about 12:20AM Wednesday, police were dealing with another accident involving four cars and had to cordon off a section of the expressway.

At about 1:00 AM, however, a truck crashed into the cordoned-off area at high speed. The driver had reportedly ignored warning markers and police directions. The ensuing collision killed six people on the spot.
