China's Huawei to Cooperate with Spain's Telefonica

China's Huawei Group has signed a deal to supply the Brazilian and Chilean subsidiaries of Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica with high-speed Internet routers.

Spanish financial daily Expansion reports that the deal would allow Huawei to gain a foothold in the Latin American telecoms market which analysts see as having above average growth potential.

Huawei Technologies, headquartered in Shenzhen in southern China, is present in some 50 countries worldwide as a total network solutions provider.
