Premier: Make Most of Opportunities of China's WTO Entry
"We must cash in on the new opportunities and take up new challenges with more active postures and effective measures in order to realize new development," said Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji in Beijing on Friday.

Joining deputies from Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces in group discussions of the Fifth Session of the Ninth National People's Congress, the premier said that all localities should display their respective advantages and enhance competitiveness to strive for better development and growth in strength.

Jiangxi Province should exhibit its advantages in agriculture to accelerate the pace of building a number of quality farm products bases to raise the comprehensive efficiency and competitiveness of agriculture, said the premier.

He urged Jiangxi Province to complete the tasks of returning cropland reclaimed from lakes and building towns for displaced people.

He told Zhejiang Province to display the pioneering spirit to open up international markets.
