PICC Insures Nuclear Power Station
The People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) has issued a policy worth 15 billion yuan (US$1.9 billion) covering the third-phase project of Qinshan Nuclear Power Station in east China's Zhejiang Province.

The policy covers material property damage to the station and harm to people and property nearby.

The third-phase Qinshan Nuclear Power Station is a key project in China and the biggest cooperative project between China and Canada.

Experts said the policy indicated PICC's advanced position in China's nuclear insurance market.
