'Bird Protection Team' in Poplar Forest
Adjust font size:

At the rim of the Gurbantunggut Desert stations a unit of the Armed Police Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Headquarters. Adjoining its barracks is the poplar forest that is praised as the "kingdom of birds".

The officers and men of the Armed Police voluntarily formed a "bird protection team" to give publicity to the relevant laws of wildlife protection and patrol the forest. They have successfully stopped 10-plus unlawful cases of bird-endangering conduct since early this year.
