Swans Feeding Goldfish in Hangzhou
Adjust font size:

A black swan was found to be feeding goldfish on the shore of a lake, at the foot of Laohudong Hill in city Hangzhou, east Zhejiang Province, on Wednesday.

A black swan stands on a raft to feed goldfish with its beak on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Hangzhou.

The peculiar scene was recently discovered by a local security guard. He said every morning after 10 o'clock, nine black swans living in the lake will climb aboard a raft near the shore and feed goldfish with their beaks.

Local people have been astonished to find such an affectionate tie existing between the two creatures. The goldfish always closely follow the swans after being fed by the swans.
