Search and rescue exercise in unfamiliar sea area
Adjust font size:

A shipboard helicopter is unloading a drowning person (a rubber-man) onto the deck of a naval vessel.

A diver and a drowning person were lifted up by a hovering rescue helicopter.

On its way to visit New Zealand and Australia, the Chinese naval task force, consisting of the guided missile destroyer "Harbin" and the oceanic comprehensive supply vessel "Hongzehu", took the rare opportunity of sailing in an unfamiliar sea area of the South Pacific Ocean to conduct drill on complicated training subjects, filling in a gap which has hitherto existed in the PLA Navy's search and rescue exercise by a shipboard helicopter in that sea area.
