15 injured in bus-minibus crash in HK

A bus and a minibus crashed when crossing an intersection in Hong Kong on Saturday evening, 15 people were injured.

 

According to local media reports, the bus ploughed into the left side of the minibus when crossing an intersection in Sham Shui Po in the New Territories. The minibus overturned to its right side and one passenger was thrown out to a trench.

 

Eight passengers in the minibus were injured with three of them heavily, while seven passengers in the bus were lightly injured. All of them had been sent to the hospital nearby.

 

The cause of the accident was still under investigation. Some witness said that the bus drove through the red light when the accident happened.
