50 trapped in Shanxi colliery gas blast

At least 50 people were trapped after a gas blast in a colliery on Thursday in north China's Shanxi Province, local safety authorities confirmed.

The accident took place in Zuomu village, Hongtong county in the city of Linfen.

Further details were not immediately available.
