Beijing-Tianjin intercity rail completed

Workers lay the last track of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity high-speed railway on Dec. 16, 2007 in Tianjin, north China.

Workers on Sunday completed the laying of track for the intercity high-speed railway between Beijing, China's capital, and the neighboring coastal city of Tianjin. The railway is the first one of its kind in China. 

Photos taken on Dec. 16, 2007 show the scene of celebration for the completion of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity high-speed railway.
