The special police force in central China's Wuhan city held a promotional event on Monday to promote security knowledge and boost communication with citizens before the peak travel period during the Spring Festival.

The Chutian Metropolis Daily reported that the activity was held on the square of the city's Hankou Train Station, and attracted many passersby and citizens.

Several officers from the city's special police force demonstrated their weapons and equipment to the crowd while other officers taught people how to prevent theft and identify fake train tickets. Police dogs also showed their stunt of searching for prohibited articles.

The event was part of the "Open Day" program of the Wuhan police force and around 3,000 visitors were involved.
