The eastern Chinese city of Nanjing recently installed 30 new information boards before the Spring Festival, or the Chinese lunar New Year, to keep the general public updated with social security information.

The information board consists of a long screen that alternates between pictures, texts and videos to provide information on police strategies.

In addition, a series of issues concerning citizens, such as weather forecasts and traffic conditions, will also be published on the screens.

Shanghai is the first Chinese metropolis to employ such a screen.
