Adjust font size:

Taiwan's "Legislative Yuan" re-elected Wang Jin-pyng from the Kuomintang (KMT) as its speaker on Friday after the new-term "legislators" took the oath of office.

KMT's Tseng Yung-chuan was elected vice speaker, according to Taiwan media reports.

The new 113-seat "Legislative Yuan" comprises 81 "lawmakers" from Kuomintang and 27 from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party. Five others belong to other parties and non-party personages.
