6 killed as jeep falls into lake in Changchun

A overloaded jeep fell into a ruptured ice-covered lake, leaving six people dead and one injured Sunday in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province.

The tragedy occurred at about 4:30 p.m. when a jeep carrying seven people drove on a frozen lake surface of Jingyuetan Park, and suddenly fell from the surface intrigued by the ice rupture.

Six people were dead despite the rescuers' efforts and one was injured.
