2 dead, chemical leaked in Anhui truck collision
Adjust font size:

A truck collision in the eastern province of Anhui killed two people and led to a chemical leak, local traffic police said on Thursday.

The accident occurred around 6:30 AM on Wednesday in Bengbu, which is in the northern part of the province on a highway linking Nanjing and Luoyang in Henan Province. A truck rear-ended a tanker truck carrying cyclohexane, a toxic chemical that can cause irritation to the eyes and skin.

Two people died on the scene and another was injured. Local traffic police and fire-fighters managed to cap the leak. Investigations were continuing.
