Upcoming Meeting between Jiang, Bush Will Be Successful, FM Spokesman

China and the United States have made sufficient preparations for the upcoming meeting between Chinese President Jiang Zemin and US President George W. Bush.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sun Yuxi said this at a regular press conference here Thursday.

Sun said during the visit of US Assistant Secretary James Kelly on October 9-10, China and the US have made concrete arrangements for the forthcoming meeting.

He expressed the belief that with the joint efforts from both sides, the meeting will be successful.
