China's Top Legislator Li Peng Meets Tunisian FM

Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met Tuesday with Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Habib Ben Yahia.

Commenting on his recent official goodwill visit to Tunisia, Lisaid his exchange of views with the leaders of Tunisia has increased mutual trust and friendship as well as understanding andcooperation.

Ben Yahia congratulated Li for his successful visit to his country, saying it was a great event in the relationship between the parliaments of the two countries, and would help push forward bilateral relations.

Tunisia is ready to increase exchanges with China and consolidate bilateral cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis, he said.
