Chinese, Foreign Police Jointly Destroy Drug-trafficking Network

China's Ministry of Public Security announced Tuesday that Chinese, Myanmar, Laotian and Thai police forces jointly destroyed a cross-border drug-trafficking network completely, this month.

The criminal network is known as "Han Yongwan Transnational Drug-trafficking Clique".

Seventy suspects of Chinese, Myanmar and Laotian nationalities have been arrested, said a spokesman from the ministry's border bureau told a press conference.

The police captured 726.8 kilograms of heroin, over 600,000 yuan (US$56,500), 36 guns, six rocket launchers, 33 grenades, 1,586 bullets and two transmitter-receivers.
