The majority of residents from six major Chinese cities show confidence in the nation's economy, according to a recent national survey conducted by the China Economic Monitoring Center.
The survey found that nearly 60 percent of those surveyed said China's economic growth is believed to be more energetic than last year, and more than 30 percent said the growth rate will be 7.3 percent, the same as that of last year.
Only seven percent of the people surveyed said this year's economic future will be worse than last year.
The survey involved more than 2,400 family visits in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an and Chongqing. The cities have contributed on average 60 to 70 percent of the State's total economy.
