International Airport to Offer Better Service

Taoxian International Airport, in this capital city of northeast China's Liaoning Province, has been taking measures to upgrade its facilities and improve its service quality to satisfy passengers.

Passengers are now welcome to give suggestions and complaints on the work of all airport departments. Airport staff are required by the superior administration authority to serve passengers with a smile, and they will be trained to handle daily business in foreign languages.

Construction on a new airport terminal, which covers some 57, 600 square meters, is now underway. Upon completion of the project in October, the airport, the largest in northeast China, will be capable of handling 6 million passengers annually.

The efforts to improve both the airport facilities and all-round service will improve the image of the airport, which is expected to adapt more to international airport standards, Zhao Xinliang, deputy governor of the province said.
