Chinese pop singer Han Hong and young pianist Lang Lang recently teamed up to put on a new version of the famous Chinese song "My Motherland".

The two artists performed the song in a theatre in Beijing. Han Hong's passionate singing accompanied by Lang Lang's melodious piano playing won loud applauses from the audience.

Lang Lang says he will add elements of pop to his future compositions so as more young Chinese people might fall in love with the piano. Meanwhile, Han Hong says she will blend more classical music into her pop songs.

Lang Lang's solo recital concert is now being held in Beijing.
