Tons of Drugs Seized So Far This Year
The National Narcotics Control Commission held a press conference in Beijing yesterday, reporting on drug seizures in the first nine months of the year. They said police cracked 74,419 drug-related cases, seizing 49,097 suspects and tons of illegal drugs.
NPC Amendments Passed
China's top legislature passed amendments yesterday to corporate, securities and tax laws on the last day of its 18th session, allowing one-person limited companies and new financial sector regulations, and raising the personal income tax threshold.
