Share Prices Creep Up to Fresh Record

Chinese share prices maintained their pep on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.68 percent, or 30.26 points, from the previous day, to close the daily trading at 4,471.03.

The combined turnover of the nation's two bourses declined slightly from 241.468 billion yuan on Monday to 236.165 billion yuan on Tuesday.
