Mr. Rogers says: Don't buy QDII
Adjust font size:

The legendary investor Mr. Rogers has been playing the same old tune in his China sermons. Recently he said: he felt that Chinese investors don't have to go crazy over QDII products because "The RMB asset is currently the best investment product in the whole world."

Apparently, Mr. Rogers' words carried some weight and were quite timely. The crazy actions of Chinese investors regarding their purchase of QDII funds have captured the attention of the investment master.

Many investors do not know what QDII actually represents. Investment institutions have explained many times that QDII fund investments are oriented towards international markets. They differ from domestic funds and they are very risky.

Rogers delivered his advice to his investment disciples. He stressed in his speech that it was not wise for Chinese investors to invest in international markets by purchasing QDII because the foreign stocks are too expensive. "I know many Chinese investors are buying mutual funds invested in foreign markets. My advice is: Be very careful. I certainly wouldn't buy them myself."
