A senior official with Russian energy giant Gazprom disclosed to China Business News that the company was considering the possibilities of going public in China's Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The official said such a plan was in the works to raise the company's reputation, improve equity volatility and attract more investments. But he also added that seeing it was a complicated process, the company still has a long way to go in this regards.
