Quanzhou Puppet Show Troupe from southeast China's Fujian Province presented a traditional puppet show at U.N. Dag Hammarskjold Library Hall Monday night to welcome the coming of the Chinese lunar New Year.

This is the first time for U.N. to hold a gala for the Chinese Spring Festival, as well as the first time for the Chinese theatrical artists to stage their performance at U.N.

U.N. Secretary-General's wife Nane, together with many senior U.N. officials, diplomats from various countries and their children, watched the performance.
