Largest Bronze Mask Repaired in Sanxingdui Site

Under one year repariting, the largest bronze mask ever found in the world will be seen by the tourists early in May in the Sanxingdui Site at southwest Sichuan Province.

The mask is among the most important cultural relics unearthed at this site.

Sanxingdui Site rose into fame in 1986 when two sacrificing pits dating back to the Shang dynasty (17th-11th centuries BC) were discovered along with thousands of precious cultural relics unearthed, which astonished the world. The discovery shows the high level of bronze civilization 3,000 years ago at the upper level of Yangtze River.
